Staged Live Development and Release
We aim to make Pavillion a product that developers love to use. Beyond the features you see at the moment, we’re super excited about all the new features and improvements that will be happening as we move forward with our own development and as we continue partnering with other studios to help them release their games.
As a start, we’ve partnered with a few select studios that we know well like the The Voxel Agents, SpiderMonk Entertainment, and various others we’ll be announcing soon… We’ve been working very collaboratively with them as we continue to develop and validate the APIs and feature sets that they (and other future development studios) need.
Once we and the developers are happy with the toolset and we’ve validated that everything is working well, we’ll invite the next cohort of developers. Each cohort will consist of 3 to 4 development studios. We’ll continue running through this process of working with dedicated cohorts until Pavillion is fully featured and as close to perfect as we can get it, growing the game portfolio as we go along.
This live-development process of building and testing will be a learning curve for everyone, but one that we’re all enjoying, as it’s not every day that you get to work on the cutting-edge and push the boundaries of a new technology in game development.
We’re reviewing games for release on Pavillion in 3 stages.
In stage 1, we’ve supported games that are already fully playable and focused on bringing their game licensing to the platform as an NFT. Some of these games will be adding more NFT features post-release. The selection process for stage 1 is already complete, and we are working hard to get these games into players’ hands.
Stage 2 is currently underway. In this phase, we’ve opened up our NFT inventory system to developers – this means that NFTs can be issued for in-game content. Developers who are interested and have fully playable games can apply now.
Later rounds of onboarding new games into Pavillion could include some early access pre-sale games. We want to protect our Pavillion customers from buying games that may never be completed or released, so any early access games will require a build that is playable at a solid alpha stage.
Stage 3 and Beyond
The final phase of applications will be for third-party developers who are interested in taking advantage of our esports and content creation features – more information on these will be coming at a later date.
After this final cohort, we expect to open up the platform to more diverse games that are at various stages of production. Details regarding our ongoing application process will also be revealed at a later date.
- Must be a registered company
- Team has ‘good’ to ‘excellent’ knowledge of programming languages (C / C# / C++ / Java / Other)
- Game is fully playable and ready to release
If you satisfy the above criteria, and you’re interested in our platform, then we’d love to hear from you.
